The RTA is advising motorists to postpone travel to Northern NSW with several major road closures still in place due to flooding.
The Pacific Highway remains closed in both directions between Halfway Creek, south of Grafton and Maclean due to flooding.
The Ulmarra Ferry and Bluff Point ferries at Lawrence are also out of service due to high water levels in the Clarence River. These ferries will be out of service until further notice.
The New England Highway is open north of Glen Innes to the Queensland border, but remains closed in both directions north of the border.
The Bruxner Highway is closed between Tenterfield and Casino. The Bruxner Highway is also closed between Sunnyside, 40km west of Tenterfield and Tenterfield.
The Gwydir Highway is closed in both directions between Grafton and Glen Innes.
The Orana Way is closed between Coffs Harbour and Grafton due to flooding. The Orana Way was a diversion route between Coffs Harbour and Grafton, but is now closed in both directions.
The Summerland Way is closed between Grevillia, north of Casino and the Queensland border and the Kamilaroi Highway is closed between Bourke and Brewarrina.
These road closures mean there are no diversions available for motorists travelling north towards the Queensland border or south from the Queensland border. Motorists are advised to avoid all flood affected areas.
Motorists wanting to access Queensland and Northern NSW are advised to postpone their travel and avoid the area.
