A camping holiday came to an abrupt end this afternoon for two men, seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in state forest near Port Macquarie.
The pair was about 400 metres from the Swans Crossing camping ground when the crash happened.
A 21-year-old sustained a fractured jaw and other head injuries, while a 38-year-old suffered head injuries and a fractured ankle.
The men were airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, both are in a stable condition.
