We’re being urged to watch out for scammers pretending to be government employees offering cash grants.
Federal Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker says he has received several complaints from people who have been contacted by phone.
The scammers have offered up to $4000 on condition people send them $200 to activate the phoney government grant.
” The government just doesn’t work that way it certainly doesn’t ring ring up offering people grants and it certainly doesn’t demand a $200 payment to access those grants, the old story, if it seems too good to be true it usually is.”
