SEATBELTS FACTOR IN MORISSET FATAL

Crash Investigation police say the back seat passengers in a twin cab utility that crashed into a tree near Morisset on Saturdy night weren’t wearing seat belts.

The Holden Crewman left Freemans Drive, crashed through a fence and into a large tree around 10.00pm killing three of the four occupants. The 47-year-old driver is assisting police with their investigation.

  1. So sad to see this happen , how many more people will die on the roads around Morisset before the police do something …sorry but there is no police presence in these areas and the pubs in these areas just keep serving alcohol ..there is no responsible service of alcohol what so ever both Hotels have a lot to do with the amount of deaths in this area, I watch men and women drink all day and night then stumble out into their cars and pray they don”t kill someone or themselves ..I know from experience what its like to be involved in a fatal car accident and can’t believe people still think they are ok to drink and drive . My thoughts go to the families of all these people involved in this accident and to the people who had to witness this accident …please think before you get in a car and turn that key ….whether you are drinking or not …

  2. The two passengers in the back may not have been wearing seatbelts. But Luke, who was sitting in the frount, WAS wearing a seatbelf and be was thrown from the car. Eaither way i dont think it would have made a difference if you see the state the car was in. This is terribley sad and the driver will never forgive himself.. rest in piece Luke and Ben xx

  3. to the person who wrote above this comment when you say luke was thrown from the car in the front seat are you talking about luke as in ben’s brother? Or was luke in the backseat with Ben? Pls i need to know i’m liz luke’s partner (ben’s brother’s partner) and carring his first child and i dont know how it really happened or where they we seated in the ute. . .

  4. one of the passangers in the back seat was my uncle 🙁 he leaves behind 3 young kids… people PLEASE think twice before getting into a car where the driver is drunk.. even if he is your mate!!!

I was actually blocked coming home from work the night it happened and walked down a bit but not too far. My condolensces to all family members.
