Councils across the region will have a chance to voice their concerns about ‘Fit for the Future’ reforms, when local government minister, Paul Toole, visits Tamworth on Friday.
He will meet with the Namoi Councils Joint Organsation, where he is expected to give an update on the local government reforms process.
Earlier this year a number of councils across the North West were deemed ‘unfit’ and had until November 18 to respond to the state government.
A final decision on potential mergers is expected to be handed down by Christmas.
