A number of fake $50 notes have been found in Coffs Harbour, prompting a warning for residents and shopkeepers to be vigilant.
The counterfeit cash has been handed into the police station over the past few days, and has now been sent to Sydney for forensic examination.
Anyone who suspects they have money which may be fake is asked to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
It follows the seizure of more than 800 counterfeit $50 notes in Sydney last week.
