Greater Taree City Council’s done it, now Great Lakes Council is following suit.
This week the local government body decided to ban smoking in all outdoor eating areas on council-controlled land.
The new restrictions will come into effect gradually and will not be imposed on local businesses until their outdoor eating licences come up for renewal.
