With words challenging enough to stump an adult, a Bangalow primary student has come runner-up in the Premier’s spelling bee.
12-year-old Michael Krippner was pipped in the senior division by Jordan Powell from Warragamba public school.
Bangalow will honour his achievement at an assembly tomorrow.
For those wondering, Michael stumbled spelling the word ’emphysema’.
