FIRE BREAKS OUT AT COFFS JETTY SHOPPING COMPLEX

A shopping complex in Coffs Harbour was evacuated today after fire broke out in a restaurant’s air conditioning unit.

Fire crews were called to the Hogs Breath Cafe on Harbour Drive at the Jetty, just after 11.30 this morning.

Crews managed to extinguish the blaze before it spread to neighbouring businesses.

Around 100 people were evacuated from the building, and luckily no one was injured.
