It was a mixed bag of conditions for longboarders at the 18th East Coast Individual Titles at the weekend.
The annual event, held by the Woogoolga Longboarders Club, attracts surfers from Wollongong to the Sunshine Coast.
The sun was shining for the finals at Mullawarra Beach yesterday, a welcomed change from Saturday’s squally conditions.
Caloundra’s Kathryn Hughes won the open women’s division, while Patrick O’Leary, also from Caloundra, was crowned the best of the men.
Part of the competition’s proceeds is going to the Disabled Surfers Association.
