COFFS HOSTS WORLD’S FIRST GAY AND LESBIAN SURF COMP

The world’s first gay and lesbian surfing competition was held in Coffs Harbour today.
Gallows Beach hosted the inaugural event, which attracted surfers from the Gold Coast to the Central Coast, and plenty of colourful characters.
Men and women aged between 18 and 45 took to the waves, which were small, but still rideable.
The competition was part of this weekend’s Coast Out Festival in Coffs Harbour, which is all about celebrating our differences.
