The benefits of exercise were on display in Coffs Harbour today.
To mark the end of Mental Health Week, people took part in a ‘walk the talk’ event in Brelsford Park.
It was all about showing how even light exercise can improve both physical and psychological health, and from the looks on participants faces, the endorphins certainly appeared to be pumping.
A number of mental health patients also took part in the walk.
In addition to helping with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, the Heart Foundation says just 30 minutes of walking a day can also reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
