MOTHER AND CHILD STILL IN BAD WAY AFTER CRASH IN EAST LISMORE

A child remains in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane hospital, after a serious accident on Wyrallah road at East Lismore yesterday afternoon.

The eight year old received severe head injuries in the crash, while her 43-year-old mother suffered multiple fractures, head and internal injuries.

Her condition has now been downgraded to serious but stable.

Police are still investigating the incident.

“We don’t believe there are any other contributing factors in regards to road conditions or weather or speed, its just believed at this stage that it’s a tragic accident and that driver error might be a factor.”
