Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire at an abandoned block of units in Hamilton South early this morning.
At around 2:30 emergency crews arrived at the Department of Housing Complex and extinguished the blaze.
The three units have been abandoned for about a year but have been used by squatters.
While initial reports show there were two ignition points, investigations are continuing this morning.
