CHANGES TO NEWCASTLE’S RESIDENTIAL RECYCLABLES

Newcastle Council has announced that residential recycled waste will now be processed on the Central Coast.

It follows the closure of the Material Recovery Facility at Gateshead last month.

The collection of yellow bins will cost households an extra 38 cents a week from July.

Council says the waste service will continue on its regular schedule, without disruption.
