Many of us have experienced the power of an animal’s love and companionship, there’s even research that points to the health benefits of a faithful pet.

Now, that power is being harnessed to help some of our most vulnerable children, those with autism.

A Newcastle boy has had an emotional encounter with a specially-trained therapy dog, and the community is now rallying to deliver him one of his own.
