ARMIDALE AIR QUALITY SET TO IMPROVE

This time next year Armidale residents may have a better idea what’s in their atmosphere, after funding for an air quality monitoring system was today announced by the State Government.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall says due to the town’s geography – airflow is limited and smoke, dust and pollen can often take time to disperse.
He says particularly in winter months, air quality can be compromised.
From March 2018, Armidale will boast one of 35 monitoring centres across the state.
