CRASH LEAVES BOY IN CRITICAL CONDITION
An eight-year-old boy remains in a critical condition after being injured in a three-car accident near Singleton late yesterday.
He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital suffering head, chest and abdominal wounds.
The boy was travelling in the back of a Nissan Patrol which collided with a Holden Commodore travelling in the opposite direction on the New England Highway.
The four-wheel-drive was then hit by a Nissan Pulsar, which had been travelling behind it.
The Patrol’s 35-year-old female driver and a 30-year-old man have been treated for internal injuries, while a five-year-old boy and one-year-old baby were also taken to hospital.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
