The army’s Black Hawk helicopter regiment is flying into New South Wales suburbs over the next week, as part of an urban training exercise.
Air crews will use Newcastle as a training target. The exercises will take place on the 11th and 12th of August during the afternoon and evening and no later than 11pm. The army says the training has been designed to have as little impact on residents as possible.
