Fresh firearms charges have been laid against a man, accused of a shooting outside Tighes Hill TAFE on Friday.
24-year-old Michael Thomas Rae is charged with shooting 26-year-old Roy Da Silva with intent to murder, and with causing harm to him for being a witness in a criminal matter.
He’s also facing three firearms-related charges.
The victim suffered injuries to his thigh and has since been discharged from hospital.
The case was mentioned briefly today in Newcastle Local Court and was adjourned to September 15, Rae remains in custody.
