Tamworth Powerstation Museum took home two Tamworth Heritage Awards, in an online ceremony yesterday.
One for its resources and the other, for tourism and education.
While, Gomeroi elder Len Waters was the recipient of an inaugural award, celebrating Aboriginal heritage.
“We do have a rich and diverse heritage, and it should be celebrated.”
The ceremony would usually take place during the Tamworth Heritage Festival, which was cancelled this year due to COVID-19.
