Local Gunnedah man Ken Lloyd has taken the next step in his quest to put the district back into the New England Electorate, sending a letter of consideration to the Australian Electoral Commission.
The region was lumped into the Parkes Electorate after a boundary review in January this year.
“We have been in other electorates, but New England to my mind suits us here and as I say all our media information comes from Tamworth.”
Mr Lloyd has spearheaded the petition, garnering more than 450 signatures.
