HUNTER REMORSEFUL FOR DRIVING INTO PEDESTRIANS AT TERRIGAL

A Sydney court has heard that the man found guilty of deliberately driving his car into a group of pedestrians at Terrigal in March last year, is genuinely remorseful.
36-year-old Simon John Hunter was found guilty of using a car to commit a serious indictable offence, as well six charges of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He recorded a blood alcohol level of .195, when he drove into a group of pedestrians standing outside the Terrigal Bakery.
But his lawyer claims Hunter has made profound changes in his life since then, which include regular visits to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
A sentencing hearing is continuing in the New South Wales District Court.
