The Nationals MP for Dubbo Troy Grant has called on Sydney Archbishop, Cardinal George Pell to resign, claiming the church has failed child sex abuse victims, and has shown an inability to deal with the issue.

Cardinal Pell says he accepts abuse was widespread, but denies the crimes are part of a systemic failure.
Yesterday, the Premier ordered a special commission of inquiry into explosive claims made by senior Hunter police officer Peter Fox, alleging cover-ups within the church.
