An 18-year-man has suffered head and spinal injuries, after jumping from the top of Whain Whain Falls yesterday afternoon.
It was a difficult rescue operation for emergency crews due to the isolated nature of the area.
“We winched in to a really difficult location up there, heaps of trees around, lots of people still around and only a couple of points where we could actually winch an ambulance crew to.”
The man is in a stable condition at Lismore Base Hospital.
