Look out Harry Potter and Twilight, the most-read book in Australia today was Little White Dogs Can’t Jump.
It was part of what’s known as National Simultaneous Storytime, which saw more than 120,000 students around the country enjoy a read with school teachers, staff and volunteers.
At Biddabah Public School, the VIP readers included Lake Macquarie Mayor Greg Piper, along with former teachers and students.
