THREE POLICE OFFICERS HURT IN PUB BRAWL

At least one police officer has been knocked out, and two others injured, when patrons of a popular hotel in Aberglasslyn allegedly turned on them.

Police were called to the Bradford Hotel on the New England Highway on Friday night after an altercation.

They claim they were attacked by a number of alcohol-affected men as they tried to intervene.

Capsicum spray was deployed as well as the taser by one of the sergeants at the scene. It just gives you an idea of how volatile the situation was.”

Two men have been charged.

Police say they’re concerned about the lack of private security at the pub.
