A Coffs Harbour Council lifeguard has been judged the best professional ocean lifeguard in Australia.
Sonny Tisdell, who has worked on the city’s beaches for the past 13 years, won the prestigious award at the Lifeguard Association annual conference.
The award is recognition for Sonny’s work in developing the council’s Ocean Safety program and for his efforts in training other lifeguards.
