BARNEY MILLER WINS GOLD SURF TITLE

Sawtell’s Barney Miller has taken out the world adaptive surfing title in the AS5 division.
The competition, which was held at San Diego in California, was dominated by Miller who scored a 16.26 – finishing five-points ahead of his nearest rival.
The disabled surfer, who conducts his own surfing competition each year at Sawtell to raise money for people with spinal injuries, said he was thrilled by the win and the world title crown.
“oh mate, look at it gold, I love gold, no just so stoked to represent Australia, get gold and a silver in the team and have my boy here Danno who is the main guy who pushes me in and so stoked what an honour to represent your country”
