A world war two POW who worked on the infamous Thai-Burma railway is preparing to return to the place where he spent three and a half years.
Yamba man Cliff Lowien will pay his respects to his fallen comrades at an ANZAC day ceremony in Thailand.
It will be the first time he’s been back to the place fittingly named Hellfire Pass.
