KNIGHTS RENTAL DISPUTE SET TO START

Forget football, it’s set to be a big week for the Newcastle Knights off field this week, as they begin arbitration with the state government, over a rental dispute in Sydney.
The state-run Hunter Venues Authority claims the Knights owe close to $1.5-million for using Energy Australia Stadium.
The club is in turn seeking $1-million in revenue lost during the redevelopment of the western grandstand.
A bad result could see the Knights go down the path of privatisation.
Four days have been set aside for the hearing, starting Tuesday.
