COAST ATHLETES SHINE AT STATE

After a brilliant run to claim the New South Wales Open 400 metre title, Tyler Gunn will miss next week’s Nationals on the Gold Coast.
The 18 year-old set a new PB and a World Junior qualifier… stopping the clock in just over 47 seconds.
The Gosford athletics club member will be back in action this weekend at the State Juniors.
While Gunn will miss the Commonwealth Games Trials, Central Coast High jumper Nicola McDermott is in outstanding form.
The 21 year-old claimed her seventh State gold medal, and also triumphed at the recent ACT Championships – clearing one-metre 90.
