A 25-year-old Newcastle man will reappear in court next month, when he’s expected to enter a plea on a manslaughter charge.
It’s alleged Jeremy Beasley punched 32-year-old Greg Newton in the head at Hamilton last November.
Mr Newton later died in hospital.
Beasley was originally refused bail by Newcastle Local Court, but it has since been granted following a successful appeal to the New South Wales Supreme Court.
The conditions include a $10,000 surety, a ban on drinking alcohol in licenced premises, and he must report to police every day.
Beasley reappeared in Newcastle Court today and is due back on March 31.
