RESIDENTS PROTEST GOLF COURSE “VILLAGE”

Residents have united to fight a housing village being proposed by the owners of Bonville International Golf Course.
They’re concerned it would ruin the area’s unique bio-diversity, but the developers say their fears are unfounded.
Regarding the protest against the Residential development a Bonville – I strongly support this protest. There is no need for this development as there are still many areas within the Coffs Harbour City urban area that are already cleared for development. A new development would cost ratepayers millions of dollars in infrastructure. Money needs to be spent on flood-proofing our City, not on creating further Urban sprawl.
Unfounded??? says the Golf Club… what a load of bull!! They haven’t been paying attention then….
I agree with you Joanne…. Urban Sprawl is just what it will be.
Just disgusting that this has got this far – thanks Coffs Council – NOT!
I’m for the development. This will be of a high quality nature as oppose to some other developments going around such as north sapphire beach, lakeview estate & bruce king drivejust to name a few. This Bonville development is planned to have 900m2 + blocks as the average as oppose to the developments i mentioned which have many blocks at the min 500m2.
The area is a desirable location as oppose to other areas in coffs. I have read the reports on the proposed development and the whole thing looks good – to whom can i pay a deposit to!
If council is smart they will vote yes on this – Coffs is currently going through a bit of an employment slump – this project will provide hundreds with jobs both directly & indirectly – this project is a great thing for the Coffs Coast.
