Some residents have been unwilling to speak with police as they investigate reports of gun shots at Mayfield.
Officers spent most of the morning guarding a car in Vine Street, after they found spent cartridges nearby.
They were unable to find bullet holes, and say at this stage, no one has been taken to hospital with gun shot wounds.
