KURRI EDGE OUT CENTRAL IN LOCAL LEAGUE

In Newcastle Rugby League, the Pickers upset the Scorpions – scoring an 8 point win at Peacock Field while Kurri beat Central. 12 points to 6.

It was an arm wrestle at St John Oval – before the Bulldogs found a way over midway through the first half.

Sam Wooden intercepted and slid across the line, with a little help to send the visitors into the sheds with a handy lead.

All 12 of Kurri’s points were scored in the first half.
