• A 42-year-old man has been refused bail in Gosford court this morning – charged with allegedly stealing the handbag of a car crash victim – as she lay critically injured. 62-year-old Kay Shaylor died following the accident on September 3. A 44-year-old woman has also been charged – she’ll face court later this month.
• The Turnbull Government has revealed changes to superannuation – this morning scrapping the controversial $500,000 lifetime cap on non-concessional contributions.
• An 88-year-old man is still missing – after his car was swept into a damn by flood waters in Victoria.
• Sport – and former Lennox Head surfer, Tyler Wright is a step closer to a maiden world title, overcoming compatriot Stephanie Gilmore, to claiming victory at the Trestle’s Pro in California.
• And stunning vision of a dramatic rescue in the US with a group of men helping to save a man from a fire bus crash. Today those men all received bravery awards for their actions.
