TWO SURVIVE SHOCKING CRASH
Emergency crews have been left stunned by the survival of a pair whose car was torn in two,
in a shocking crash on the New England Highway at Lochinvar.
Debris was scattered for 50 metres across a paddock, after the male driver somehow lost control of the sedan, and veered into the path of a truck carrying scrap metal.
The injured man and woman were flown by ambulance helicopter to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, where they’re reported to be in a serious, but stable condition.
The truck driver was treated for shock, but was otherwise uninjured.
The accident caused extensive hold-ups for early afternoon traffic on the New England Highway.
