Taree buggy driver, Brent Hopkins, claimed the fastest qualifying time in round six of the State Off-Road Championships at Nabiac.
But he struggled in the first round, with Medowie’s Warren Upton leading at the end of day one, leaving third-placed Troy Tisdell the highest ranked local.
