There was a scare for 170 passengers on board a Jetstar flight that landed at Williamtown yesterday evening after a small blaze in the engine of an Airbus A-320.
Smoke was noticed coming from one of the jets just after the aircraft landed, completing the journey from Brisbane.
A Jetstar spokesman says a small amount of excess jetfuel burnt around the engine for a few seconds. The aircraft was still grounded on Wednesday morning.
Those passengers booked on the return flight to Brisbane were given overnight accomodation
