For the first time in years, Newcastle-based paralympian Kurt Fearnley is admitting to nerves as he prepares to defend his New York Marathon crown.

Now back home after claiming a third straight Chicago Marathon, he’s got less than two weeks to recover before heading to the Big Apple.
