COAST ATHLETES SHINE AT WORLD MASTERS GAMES

Central Coast swimmer Paul Lemmon has been a standout performer at the World Masters Games in Sydney.

Competing in the 40 to 44 age group, Lemmon finished 34 seconds ahead of his nearest rival in the 800-metres freestyle, also winning gold in the 200-metres individual medley.

In track and field, Mingara’s Margaret Beardslee collected silver in the Women’s 50 to 54, 10-kilometre road race.

Meanwhile, at Manly Beach, Paul Chadwick, Paul Stone and Steve Allan combined to win gold in the Ocean Man Relay.

40 year old Allan also finished first in the board race.
