POLICE REMEMBER FALLEN COLLEAGUES

Like their colleagues across the state, mid north coast police today paused to remember fellow officers killed in the line of duty.

A National Police Remembrance Day service was held at Port Macquarie’s Church of Christ, honouring the 249 New South Wales police officers who lost their lives protecting the community.

Local Area Commander Peter Thurtell implored those in the audience to always remember and pay tribute to the officers whose lives were cut short.
