There is now little doubt that yesterday’s dust storm was the largest in around 80 years.
But the reality is dust data in Australia doesn’t date very far back, with a small centre in the north west, dubbed Dust Watch, leading the charge.
Dust Watch says the event could happen again with the right conditions.
