RED DUST HEALING FOR LISMORE’S INDIGENOUS YOUTH

A northern rivers council is rolling out a new program aimed at steering indigenous teenagers away from violence and improving their self-esteem.

The cultural healing program’s founder was in Lismore to launch the program.

Yeah they do need a little self esteem building, just challenged a bunch of em, while trying to break into my girlfriends car… and they mentioned their indiginous status, in less words, like yes… I would be fine with some other group that did not have indigenous members breaking into her car… make perfect sense. She pipe up, they realise she’s there, they yell ‘were gonna rape your woman!’ throwing pots and plants around the front verandah, my hand is in a bit of pain from one of the pots striking it but they’re serving to type still thankfully. Funny thing apart from the challenging them to doing it, this is not uncommon, or the bins to get kicked over, and I hate to say it, but I hear and see it, though making up much less than half the capita of the population in town, at least half the time us or ours are attacked it is from this party that this program is aimed at, good luck with that! sorry if not tiptoeing around the issue enough still have heightened adrenaline levels over the ideal….
