Despite the heavy rain, many braved the soggy conditions for the Raymond Terrace Christmas Festival.
Some events were moved inside or cancelled – while festival goers found a way to stay dry.
Rebecca Young, the administrator of the event, was pleasantly surprised with the turnout.
“It’s just fantastic that the community has come out and supported us we really couldn’t ask for anything more.”
The festivities were also used to say thanks to the local emergency services who worked during the recent bushfires.
