CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS HELP SCHOOLS GO GREEN

When a Hunter Valley primary school found out it was getting a new hall, the school’s environment committee came up with a creative way to recycle the site waste.

Cessnock Public School, or Cessnock “Perfect School” as the principal prefers to call it, now has a drought busting bush tucker garden.

The school had applied to Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) for help with manpower and materials.

CVA is taking expressions of interest from other schools in need of help with their green make over plans.
