A helicopter and several police cars patrolled Merewether this afternoon, searching for three people, believed to have been involved in a robbery.
An off-duty police officer who was walking past a home on the corner of Curry and Merewether streets, noticed three people stealing a large, flat screen television.
He gave chase but the trio, including two men and a woman, managed to escape.
