PUB TRAGEDY ENDS UP IN COURT
Tamworth’s Kelvin Christopher Rooks has been found guilty of manslaughter in the City’s District Court.
The jury found the 48-year old caused injuries resulting in the death of James Meekin at Tamworth’s, The Pub Hotel in February last year.
He suffered head injuries when he fell and hit his head on concrete, after being punched by Rooks.
He died several weeks later in a Sydney hospital.
The pair were known to each other.
Rooks will remain on bail, to be sentenced in the Sydney District Court on November the 20th.
