The Westpac Rescue helicopter has winched a sick crewman off a bulk carrier
40 kilometres off the coast of Port Stephens.
The 44-year old was taken off the ship, Coral Jasper, around midday and flown to the John Hunter Hospital, where he’s reported to be in a stable condition.
The helicopter responded to a similar emergency off Newcastle just last week.
